Expressing considerations over unlawful imports of sub-standard Chinese merchandise like diyas and furnishings, Paswan stated the federal government will strictly implement the standard guidelines framed by the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS).

“When our goods reach abroad, they are checked. Our Basmati rice exports get rejected, but when their goods come to India, there is no strict quality control,” he added.
